Friends make friends travel

Colombia, we meet at last!

“So was it worth it?” I kept asking myself as I sipped on my free international flight whiskeys and Chilean red wine.  Then I got to Bogota, jumped in a taxi and met up with my lovely friend Scott….so once again…was it worth it??

Just look at that face!!!

As sleepy as I was after getting off the plane ( I couldnt sleep with so many movies on demand available; Do you have any idea how much I have to catch up on after being down here for so long?!), as soon as I got to the hostel we switched into party mode. We bought a bunch of beers, filled up on coffee with baileys and made party plans with American English teachers we met in the hostel. The next few days were a huge blur of clubbing at a place called Radio Berlin, Scott being chased around by Gringo-hunter Colombian girls, More >

Buenos Aires: Tango, Antique Markets and Fake Boobs

1

Buenos Aires is incredible.

There are no doubts about that. The city pulsates with music, beauty and delicious food. I can walk down the street and wander into a corridor filled with cheap antiques or stroll into an open plaza where Tango dancers step around tables stacked with cheap wine and juicy steaks. Everyone is beautiful. Whether you are into bohemian hippies, smart trendsetters or Maxim center folds, this city has it all.

Matt and I arrived here  A WEEK AGO already and it feels like..well…actually, Ive pretty much forgotten about time…THATS HOW AWESOME IT IS HERE!

I dont really remember what days we did what, but we just started doing things and the days flew by…

Getting to know the culture…

C’est la Vie and it rocks

C’est la vie is probably one of my favorite sayings. Ever. Perhaps commonly misused, it translates to something similar to “So is life”.  “What a negative saying, that’s what you say when something shitty happens,” Matt said, challenging my over use of the saying. I shot him the look of death. “Nooo,” I corrected. “It does not have to be like that.” “When else would you use a saying like that besides when something shitty happens,” he argued, taking a sip from his beer. Another look of death. “Look, maybe I should tell you the story of why I love it so much and then maybe you will believe me,” I said back, standing firm in the defense of my favorite saying.

This story, is perhaps one of the best examples of why  I LOVE traveling. I love seeing buildings, people, clothes, food, wine, More >
