So I´ve never truely hitchiked that much before, but we are leaving El Chalten today and are not so stoked on the OUTRAGEOUS bus tickets. We´ve met a considerable amount of travelers who have said the highway we are on (Route 40) is pretty famous for hitchhikers and some of them have even told us its the only way they travel down here! Well, here we go. After all, Im trying to have a crazy adventure right? And Ive got a really tall guy with me and pepper spray in a pen disguise just in case

Dec 8th turned out to be some random unidentifiable holiday for Chile, in fact Im still unsure as to what holiday it is, but it gave us the day off work. Hurray! No 10 hour work day! So I emailed the boss and asked if putting in overtime now would let me have the day off on the 9th too, 4 day weekend in Ushuaia or some south pole winter wonderland? Yesss.
